Quite Good

This is based on my least favorite Austen novel--I always thought the whole gothic satire thing was a bit weak (but I still really like the book.) So this movie didn't blow me away, but it is certainly very enjoyable. The script adheres very closely to the book, and Henry and Catherine are exactly as I pictured them. I really enjoyed Felicity Jones--she's quite cute.

Enjoyable

Even though the script departs quite a bit from the book, and I'm not really a big fan of old movies, I really enjoyed it. I still prefer the later versions but this is definitely worth seeing for Austen fans.

Not perfection, but pretty good

At first, I didn't really like this adaptation. They left out some of my favorite parts from the book, and I was outraged. But I gave it another chance and began to see more positive things in it. They did have to delete scenes to get this film compacted into 90 minutes ,but I think, overall, they captured the book well. The music is excellent, and I think it shows the loneliness and anxiety that Anne is experiencing. I liked Anne's journaling scenes--it makes you feel like you really know her. And Captain Wentworth is rather fetching, after all.

What went wrong?

I'm glad I didn't get this when it first came out, because I would have been seriously disapointed with this system. There weren't very many games, and I don't even think the best ones for this system were near as fun as SNES games. The graphics are pretty bad too--I feel nauseous sometimes just looking at them.

Oh, it's so beautiful!

So dainty, so cute, so delicate, so pink! This little machine is my pride and joy. I think this is one of the best systems of all time. Great games for all ages, and great graphics. (Hurray for 2d!) I also hook up a media player to this and read books on it sometimes, very nice!!
